Fluffy Thingy!

This morning Erica made mommy and me a special treat! Erica announced that she had a surprise for us. when she pulled her treat from the oven she told us to close our eyes. We closed our eyes and waited for Erica to tell us that we could open them.

When we opened our eyes and saw Erica's beautiful creation...well honestly I didn't know what to make of it at first; Mommy however was positive of what it was and said "Oh a fluffy thingy!" We all burst out laughing because we . It definitely looked like a fluffy thingy, but I wasn't quite sure what it was exactly.

Erica then told us that it was some kind of french toast dish that you cook in the oven and, tastes really good, and that she used to make it down in the burg. So after we agreed that indeed this was a fluffy thingy of french toast--we ate it! we put whipped cream and cinnamon on our french toast and it tasted so good!

While we were eating we ended up quoting classic Disney movies (i.e. Aladdin, Lion King and Robin Hood), and reminiscing on the good ol' days and other cherished memories! Yes, Good day!

Hitting the big 21

Okay so even through my birthday was last Wednesday, I thought I would share some highlights from the big day (4/11). I guess you could say that my birthday started Tuesday evening with an unexpected surprise. So Tuesday evening after we finished dinner I decided that I was going to be the grown-up obedient daughter and decided that to fulfill my chore duty and vacuum the downstairs.

I got to about the halfway point between the hallway and the rest of the living room, which meant I was excited because I was almost done vacuuming. When mommy came up to me, put her hands on my shoulders and looked at me very seriously and said " Karlis, I have a surprise for you. We are going to go somewhere in a few minutes but I can't tell you where we are going, so hurry up and get your shoes on then we will go. Oh and do you have a blindfold?"

By this point you can imagine how I felt. When she asked me if I had a blindfold and told me that they were going to blindfold me in the car; I wasn't sure if I should feel excited, scared or nervous. So we got in the car as they took me hostage and blindfolded me.

As we started driving I tried to see if I could at all discern which direction we were moving to try and figure out where we were going. Well I failed. When we got there they led me from the car blindfolded. I felt really silly being led by the hand to an unknown public place.

When we got into where ever we were mommy counted to three and lifted the blindfold from my eyes. Several people shouted surprise. We were in Blu Cow. Mommy had invited several ladies from the ward to come and surprise me!

We had lots of fun! we ate ice cream. chatted, took pictures, I opened gifts and then it was over. here are some fun pictures we took at Blue Cow:

Pictionary

Yesterday as a family we played Pictionary. When we play as a family it gets pretty intense and is so much fun! This is how we do Pictionary:
                   It's Daddy's turn

Kristal doesn't know what a face lift is. He he, you can tell by the way she tries to draw it.

Kristal drew this one a few years back. Can you guess what it is??
