Okay so yesterday was possibly the best day of this week so far, for a variety of particular reasons. So our adventure really started Tuesday when Erica and I decided that we wanted to wake up early and go for a walk on the Greenbelt.
Well lets see did we have a fun time on the green belt you ask me? No. :) because we didn't end up going. We were going to drop Jake off at school; so I got up extra early so I would be ready by the time we had to leave.Yesterday was the earliest I have woken up in a long time.
So I get up, get dressed, and ate breakfast. Then I tried to go wake Erica up so she would be ready to leave. Well, about a quarter till 8 Jake left with mommy and Erica was just getting up. So it's like now eight in the mornbing, we decided to ditch the Greenbelt and make shopping trip instead. Running around the mall shopping and making other errands is exercise right?
So at 8:30 we decide to wait until Ross opened to start our adventure. The next hour we spent sleeping in Erica's bed (which is much more comfortable than my bed). Around 9:30 when I finally convinced Erica to get out of bed we both had a laughing fit, because of the dream she had and our new inside joke :)
We finally got out the door at 10something. deciding we were going to make this an epic adventure; we drove around blasting what we called our awesome 'thug music' wherever we went. Our first stop was Ross. We were there for probably like and hour and a half to two hours, (we got carried away :) ). Then finally our last stop. Walmart. When we got home we rewarded ourselves that night before we went to bed by watching Breaking Dawn, since Erica hadn't seen it yet. Anyways at the end of the day we were satisfied with our accomplishments!
:D
Okay so one day I was just looking around on pinterest.com for cute ideas and I saw this cute jar with folded pieces of paper in it. The caption said:"Every day write down something that made you smile and stick it in a jar. At the end of the year go back and read them." So I decided I would blog about the things that make me smile each day, with other random fun stuff here and there. So here goes!

My Brain is Tired
Okay so I had the cutest conversation with one of my little first graders today. So I was pulling kids from the classroom to read fry words to me (kind of like sight words) so anyways, the following conversation took place between me and Josh:
Josh: (Josh sits down then yawns).
Me: Are you tired Josh?
Josh: Yeah, my brain is tired. My brain doesn't have a mouth so I yawned for my brain.
Me: Oh yeah? I'm tired too (really when inwardly I'm laughing my head off and have become more awake!). Okay Josh, lets get back to work
Josh: Okay
The kid totally made my day! on top of that, when I was grading some math papers I accidentally marked a right answer wrong, probably because I was having too much fun talking to Claire!
:D

The Road to Grace
So today I have just had the most wonderful day! To start off with I must say that one of my all time favorite Mormon authors is Richard Paul Evans. He wrote The Christmas Box, The Locket, The Carousel, Micheal Vey, and many other just fantastic books! Well about a couple of years ago he started writing a new series called The Walk.
If you haven't heard about The Walk or haven't read it; I highly recommend it. Anyways so it was a miracle that I just so happened to be on Facebook yesterday the exact moment he posted that he landed in Boise. I t was then that I realized he had come to do a book signing for his new book The Road to Grace Which is the third book in The Walk Series.
I then discovered then discovered that in fact he did come to do a book signing and that he was going to hold it the next day (which was obviously today). I told my mom the wonderful news and that we had to go to the signing! She agreed to take me.
So this evening around 6:00 we left for Barnes & Noble. We got there around 6:15 to 6:20. Since we got their early, after I purchased the book they gave me a yellow ticket indicating that I could go and find one of the reserved seats they had for people with tickets since he was going to speak as well.
After I purchased my gook and found a seat in the front row! I began to read! I read right up until about five minutes before he go there. When he arrived at 7:00, he spoke for an hour about his experience writing these books and the joy they bring him. He took questions as well toward the end before he started signing.
When he did start signing, I was one of the first people in line. I was so excited, I didn't know what to do with myself! mainly just thinking about what I would say to him. When it was my turn mommy took a picture of me and him.
While he was signing my book I told him how much I loved his books. that meeting him was quite literally a dream come true! He told me that that was probably one of the nicest things anyone's ever told him. I also told him that when I read his books I read with sticky notes next to me because I mark my favorite parts of the books that where there are either interesting conversations or great words of wisdom.
He told me that he appreciated that and that he'd like to see that sometime. I told him that next time he came I'd bring my books and show him. Then for a moment before he finished with my book it almost looked like he quickly wiped a tear or something from the corner of his eye.
He then gave me my book back and I thought; wow that must have really touched him or something that he'd wipe a tear. We then left, it was so exciting and all the way home I felt like I was on cloud 9 and I couldn't stop smiling :) anyways, in short happy happy day! nuf said.

While I was looking out the window
Okay so before I tell this funny story that I'm about to divulge, let me give a little background. If there is one thing I am proud of it is my ability to quote the movie While You Were Sleeping. That movie is a classic! Erica and I can practically quote the movie word for word. If you've seen the movie, isn't it great!? if not.. YouTube it!
Anyways so today my mom and I were driving through downtown on our way home. We ended up passing Chandlers. As I was looking out the window, I just so happened to notice that there was a hot dog stand right in front of Chandlers on the sidewalk.
Immediately several different scenes from While You Were Sleeping comes to my mind. I play through them individually in my mind; thinking about it the rest of the way home. When I get home I tell Erica " Erica guess what!?" she says "What?" " On our way home I saw a hot dog stand on the sidewalk!" Erica thinks about it for a moment then bursts out laughing.
Without having to say anything Erica knows exactly what I'm talking about. We then go off into a tirade of quoting the moving and having laugh attacks! It is quite possibly one of the most hilarious, awkward, silly quotable movies on this planet! in short. It was lots of fun! So now if you just had no idea what I talked about and think I sounded crazy, go watch the movie!
