Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys

Okay so I was supposed to make this post Monday night, but I ran out of time to type it all out before I got to tired and went to bed. Anyways by a show of hands who believes that we all deserve  rewards here and there and need incentives so that we can quickly finish homework and what not?...I do! and I'm sure you guys do too.

Anyways yesterday I was feeling pretty good about myself because I had my whole week organized for what homework needed to get done on what day, so I told myself "Self, if I finish reading this talk today before home evening, I'm going to reward myself  this evening by watching the next episode of Once Upon a Time."

So I go to Home Evening and I'm excited to get home so that I can sit in my bed and watch my show. I call my mom to come pick me up. She picks me up and on the way home my mom asked me what I was going to reward myself with. So I told her what I was going to watch. She asks if she can watch something with me and not watch Once Upon a time. I agree and we decide to watch something else.

When we get home, we decided to watch an episode of Hart to Hart. If you don't know what show that is look it up. I look up Hart to Hart on Netflix. They ended up not having it for streaming, but then on the 'other suggestions section' they had Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, my mom shouted in excitement, and said Ooh lets watch the Hardy Boys!

So you guessed it, we ended up watching an episode of  Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. It just so happened to be that the episode we picked to watch was like a halloweeny , creepy episode. We ended up watching it anyways. We were laughing through out almost the entire movie. It was just really funny because the movie was made in the 70's so they all had mullets and were wearing bell-bottoms, and the music wasn't really that creepy.By the end of the show we were tired and ready for bed. We concluded that back then the acting quality was simple. Anyways we had a fun time together.

SnOw!

Yay! finally snow! I think that this is the latest time in the winter season that I can remember that we have gotten snow. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to go outside and play in the snow because I was working and doing homework all day. I remember when I was little and we go the first snow fall of the year, my dad would always shovel the drive way and the sidewalk and make a pile of snow and turn it into a slide if he could. When we were little and went to Salt Lake my uncle would always shovel my grandparents driveway and side walk and make a pile in the back yard and turn it into a long decent slide that we would slide down. Oh those were the days!
Anyways funny story:

Anyways funny story: So today I got to sit with their kids in one of their groups and read a book with them. So I would give them their books that they had to read for homework. While they read their books they would have to look for and highlight words that began with spl,spr,scr, and str I think. Anyways since the kids couldn't remember all that I decided to write them down on the white board next to me. Then oh my gosh the kids told me they couldn't understand my handwriting that it wasn't neat. So little Alice decided to rewrite the word on the board herself. It totally made me laugh! while I was thinking "it's not like your hand writing is any better honey." Anyways that's what made me laugh today.

Not That Anyone Would Care...

I thought that tonight I would share with everyone how NOT exciting my evening has been, today was kind of boring really. I had a hard time trying to get myself to do homework. So this evening I decided to accompany my Daddy to work while he works for another couple of hours in the hopes that I will get at least something done.

Well so far I have read a page and a half of chapter four from my homework, taken a break used the restroom, written a creepy message on Jill Taysom's whiteboard and just now answered the phone to some advertisement. They said that if I took their survey I would get two all expense paid tickets for a cruise ship or something like that. Oh how exciting if that were true! honestly it made me laugh!

 If you want my opinion, not that you would care, but here's my take on unknown phone numbers and random creepy people who call your number which is the wrong number. If I don't recognize the number I let it go to voice mail, because if they really want to talk to me they can first tell me who they are and what they want in a voice mail, and if i find out I know them then I'll call them back.
Anyways, So there's my take on things tonight.I might attempt a little more homework before we leave tonight. Hope this makes you guys laugh. It sure made me laugh. Is anyone even listening??...

Seriously...I'm Kidding

If you had the opportunity to meet one celebrity of your choice who would you pick?... yeah I know it's hard to decide. Actually, if I had the opportunity to meet any one celebrity of my hearts desire I would choose Ellen DeGeneres. Yes I would choose her over Robert Pattinson or even J. K. Rowling maybe. But anyways, Ellen is probably one of my all time favorites. She's a great, clean comedian . Ellen just plain makes me laugh!
So for Christmas my parents bought me her new book that came out last fall called Seriously...I'm Kidding, and let me say it's probably the funniest book I've ever read! I read it every day and read it out loud to the family too!  today I read the "Tweet Chapter" and thought I would share it with you:

New Shoes!

NeW sHoEs NeW sHoEs! Today I got new shoes! I am so happy. T I have been needing to go shoe shopping for a while. My old shoes were live a year old and looked pitiful. So I finally got around to getting new shoes.  Mommy and I went early in the morning so that we could get it done quickly. I buy my shoes from a store that sells shoes for diabetics, kind of weird I know, but hey it's the only place I can find shoes and not get frustrated at my feet. So in all I found several pairs of cute shoes, but only bought one pair because they are really expensive, but I achieved my goal and today was a very productive day!

Tiny Bananas

Today mommy and I went to Fred Meyers to go buy some groceries. The first thing on our list was bananas. Mommy picked up a batch of cute little bananas and said " Oh these are so cute!" ( she moves on unbeknownst to me) I'm still over looking at bananas. I pick up a small banana and say " Well that is one tiny banana. I look up expecting to see mommmy, instead I see a little old lady looking at me funny like I'm crazy or something. I saw mommy had moved on so I ran to meet her laughing my head off the whole way! I told her what happened and she started laughing too! This little occurence totally made my day!

Funny Story

Okay funny story: So today Erica called and wanted to talk to our mom. I told her that mommy was talking to her councelor. Erica said "Okay I'll call back after I get out of class."...An hour goes by. Erica calls back. I pick up the phone and say "they're still talking" (I laugh out loud!) Erica says "Still!?" the she says "okay I'll call back in a few minutes." It just made me laugh!
Other things that made me smile:
* I had an amazingly delicious lunch
*I watched episode 8 in season one of Once Upon a Time!

This is my jar of things that make me smile. Today I discovered Pinterest.com. On the site I saw a picture of a jar with lots of papers inside. The caption read: Everyday write down something that mae you smile that day, then stick it in a jar. At the end of the year take them out and read them. Today the fact that I found this cool website made me smile :)
